As Mayor Kao Hung-An completes her third year in office, the Hsinchu City Government continues to actively implement her vision of a "Vibrant Youth, Happy and Friendly City." Dedicated to creating stable workplaces for workers and providing a stage for young people to pursue their dreams, the administration has demonstrated significant progress in labor and youth-focused policies.
Mayor Kao stated that since 2025, the city government has consistently increased resources to enhance labor rights and benefits. These initiatives include raising subsidies for worker education and training programs and investing over NT$33.43 million in structural reinforcement and exterior renovations for the Labor Recreation Center. Furthermore, Hsinchu has achieved an excellent safety record, with an occupational accident rate that remains among the lowest nationwide. To support diverse employment, the city established Senior Talent Service Hubs for specialized job matching and utilized the Youth Development Center to bolster public participation and entrepreneurial mentorship. Mayor Kao emphasized that the city team remains on the front lines, connecting resources with the practical needs of workers through professional and compassionate policies. The goal is to ensure that every citizen working in Hsinchu feels valued, works with peace of mind, and can courageously pursue their dreams.
Mayor Kao pointed out that workers are the core engine of Hsinchu’s stability, while the youth represent the key hope for the city’s future transformation. As the administration enters its third year, the city government remains committed to its original mission of "enhancing labor welfare," turning its vision of a friendly and happy city into tangible protection and support for all citizens.
