Mayor Kao Hung-An Visits HsinChu Agricultural Products Marketing and Beimen Market to Share Festive Blessings and Red Envelopes
As the Lunar New Year approaches, Mayor Kao Hung-An spent the weekend visiting HsinChu Agricultural Products Marketing and Beimen Market. To ring in the Year of the Horse, she distributed symbolic NT$1 red envelopes themed "Auspicious Horse Bringing Blessings" to hardworking vendors and citizens. She extended early New Year greetings, wishing everyone immediate happiness, safety, and great prosperity in the coming year.

Mayor Kao noted that traditional markets are vital hubs in the daily lives of citizens. HsinChu Agricultural Products Marketing serves as the backbone for produce supply in the Greater Hsinchu area, while Beimen Market was successfully reconstructed and reopened last year. The renewed facility preserves the essential functions of a traditional market while offering a safer and more comfortable environment for shoppers. By visiting the front-line vendors ahead of the holidays, the city government aims to express its gratitude and share good fortune with the community.

The Department of Economic Development stated that the city remains committed to enhancing the operations and environment of public markets. These holiday visits allow the city team to show appreciation, listen to feedback from vendors and citizens, and gather insights for future market revitalization. The goal is to ensure traditional markets meet public needs while showcasing Hsinchu’s unique urban character.
